Mihir is an ML Scientist at Wadhwani AI, where he leads teams developing models for tuberculosis (TB) and maternal health care cascades, receiving a best paper award at the prestigious ML4Health conference for his work predicting TB adverse outcomes at national scale in 2022. He is also involved in cross-cutting initiatives in the organisation with tabular data, TB solutions with Nikshay and capacity building. He led development of the organization’s Responsible AI framework, was an invited speaker at the GPAI convening on global health and AI, and was on the committee chaired by the Principal Scientific Advisor that framed the first AI governance guidelines and recommendations for India. Mihir holds degrees in Computer Science from IIT Bombay and Princeton University, focussed on machine learning.
