First, we ask the student to read/record a target paragraph. Next, we automatically transcribe the audio and provide a list of correct and incorrect words along with an overall score. Thus, without manual intervention, teachers can perform ORF assessments of the entire class, gain insights about their students’ reading ability, and reduce data fudging. A digital record of each student can be used to provide personalized remedial learning and track progress. Currently, we have developed this solution for Gujarati and are working on adding other languages like English, Hindi, and Marathi.
